the Canvas Project By Google

The canvas project was a global art project for Google Meet’s background imagery, centered on the ethos of collaboration - because great ideas come together when we collaborate. I was the lead product and design director for this project. Our team traveled from Seattle, to New York, London and The Philippines to create beautiful artwork that creates conversations and has been viewed by billions of people globally. GE Calgary Innovation Center

As an organization with a legacy of invention, GE knows what imagination is all about. Faced with increasingly complex global challenges, they needed a better way to engage and collaborate with their customers, and bring those innovations to life. We created a new-breed collaboration center that brings together global expertise along with sophisticated analytic tools in a hard-working space that puts customers at the core.

My Role: Lead Producer for all interactive experiences (managing a team of 3 producers), spatial layout and interior design.

Windows 10 Desktop Hero Image

For the Windows 10 desktop hero image, I wanted to find an inspiring image that positively reflects the goal of Windows 10. So after weeks of research and meetings, we hired Gmunk, an artist from San Francisco to create us the perfect still image - an artist representation of the windows logo. With the use of glass, lazers and smoke, we photographed thousands of images. It took months to sort through and find the perfect image.

I directed and lead the creative teams through the creative briefing and approval process, lead the artist selection and legal process, and owned the technical implementation specs with the engineering team. Also, I managed the cross-team communication and roll out strategy for the new Windows 10 hero image, including presenting our strategy to senior leadership (VP level) teams

Windows 10 Wallpaper Photography - Steve McCurry

For the windows 10 launch, I was the executive producer for the wallpaper custom photography photo shoots.

I developed the creative brief, lead the photographer selection process, managed senior leadership on approvals and strategy, managed and co-created the shot list and locations, managed the post production process, lead the contract and SOW process with the vendor, managed and negotiated budget and image rights with Microsoft legal, as well as leading the implementation and roll-out strategy of the images in Windows 10.

For this in-the-moment series of images, we hired national geographic photographer Steve McCurry (widely known as the photographer who shot the "Afghan Girl" for NatGeo) across several areas of New Zealand for a breath of inspiring landscape images.

HoloLens Launch - Developer Edition

As a design program manager on HoloLens, I lead programs for a very complex and highly ambiguous product. I lead and inspired a 30 person UX team including interaction designers, visual designers, motion designers, and 3D designers.

I also partnered discipline with engineering teams, product managements teams, content development teams, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with major milestones, deliverables, process, and product quality.

Specializing in the apps space, I ensured that the UX team delivered quality assets on time, developed process to ensure product excellence, and lead the ux product strategy for Hololens 1st party apps. Additionally, I partnered with the design lead to create a visual style guide, sonic strategy, and content development strategy.

Microsoft HoloLens 2017 Vision Video

I was one of two executive producers, leading the 2017 hololens vision. Since the world of holographic computing is highly ambiguous and technically advanced, the best way to get the vision across was to create a live-action and motion graphics video.

We partnered with a team of live action experts and CG experts to create a compelling, and visionary summary of the 2017 target for Hololens. I lead the casting specs and selection, agency rfp's, project requirements and budget allocation and tracking.

In addition to producing the video, I also lead the strategic definition across disciplines to align on a vision and north star product direction.

Fred Hutch - Obliteride

Inspired by the cause and passion for cycling, we teamed up with Fred Hutch to develop Obliteride, both as an annual event and as a community of people passionate about saving lives.

We created a complete brand experience, including print collateral, bike kits, and a guerilla marketing campaign. All of which was designed to mobilize more participants – riders, volunteers, and donors – and raise as much money for research as humanly possible.
